Baden's Brace Leads Eagles To Road Win At Radford

Baden Has A Goal In Six Straight Games

Radford, Va. – Juma Baden's brace helped Winthrop men's soccer capture a 3-1 win at Radford, Saturday afternoon in its Big South Conference opener.

  • The first shot of the match on frame came in the 24th minute as Radford's Gabriele Sellati struck a shot toward goal but right at Euan Brindley
  • The first shot of the game for the Eagles found the back of the net as Jorge Perez set up Juma Baden as he finished into the top left corner
  • Winthrop doubled its lead in the 55th minute as Alfie Humphrey passed to Baden who finished to the lower right corner for his second goal of the match
  • The Highlanders got on the board in the 62nd minute when Hugo Roman set up Noel Zimbeva for the goal
  • Winthrop pushed its lead back to two goals in the 70th minute when Daniel Restrepo set up Jorge Perez who finished with a shot into the upper portion of the goal
