Rock Hill, S.C.— Winthrop women's golf will compete in its second tournament of the season as it travels into North Carolina for the Elon Invitational Sept. 14-15.

A GLANCE AT THE EAGLES

The Eagles opened the season at the Truist AOD at Quail Hollow, finishing 4th out of six teams competing
Senior Constanca Mendonca and sophomore Alayna Friedt led the Eagles with a T13 finish
Mendonca posted a final round of 2-over to move up into the 13^th place finish
Junior Avery Suter had the next best finish at 19^th as she bounced back from an 82 in the opening round to shoot 3-over in the final round
Winthrop placed 7^th in the 2025 Elon Invitational, led by Mendonca who finished T7
In 2024 Mendonca finished T19 in her freshman season
That year the tournament was shortened to 36 holes due to inclement weather
