BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. -- The Winthrop University baseball team fell to Gardner-Webb in a close 7-6 loss on Sunday at John Henry Moss Stadium. The Eagles' offense was powered by three home runs, maintaining their streak of scoring at least six runs in two consecutive games. However, Gardner-Webb secured the win with a walk-off single to right center from Merik Carter in the 10th inning.
