Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop sophomore
Thomas Lamar has been tabbed the Big South Men's Golfer of the Week, announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.
Lamar led the Eagles with a T11 finish as the team finished 4
th at the Peoples Championship at Sea Palms. He opened the event with a 4-under 67 finished at 3-under, which tied for his 54-hole collegiate-low. Finished with a total of 12 birdies while finishing under par on the par-4 holes (-2) and par-5 layouts (-4). The T12 finish was a career-best and the second consecutive event he's finished in the Top 20.
Lamar joins teammates
Mason Kucia and
Ashton Eubanks as having earned the conference weekly honor this year.
