- It was Mendonca's ninth career round of par or better as she finished with five birdies and three bogeys
- Freshman Alayna Friedt posted the team's second-lowest round with a 2-over 73 and is T38
- Maelle Dreyer, Emily Baker and Iciar Canalejo each posted an opening round 76
- The team's 294 has the Eagles in 13th, a shot back of 12, two back of 10th and six shots separatee 4th and 13th place
- As a team the Eagles are tied for the 5th lowest Par 3 and Par 4 scoring among the field
- The 13 birdies on the day tied for the fourth most in the field
- Friedt and Canalejo lead the Eagles in Par 3 scoring at 1-under, which is tied for third lowest in the field
- Mendonca is tied five other individuals for the lead in Par 4 scoring at 2-under
- Friedt also leads the team in Par 5 scoring at 2-under, which is tied for second-lowest in the field
- In the first round the Eagles were a combined +10 on the front nine and 5-over on the back nine

LOOKING AHEAD
Eagles will begin teeing off at 7:45 a.m. off the 10
th tee for the second round on Monday and are paired with East Tennessee State, Lipscomb, and Cincinnati.
