Game Recap
- Eagles just missed taking the lead in the 9th minute as the Eagles played quickly off a set piece
- Just a few seconds later the ball was played to Bruno Riveron Sagrero in the box as he tried to curl a shot toward the top right corner that pinged off the crossbar and was cleared
- Queens had a good chance in the 11th minute as Sindri Sigurdarson chased down a long ball behind the Winthrop defense and as he ran on Emory Crichlow closed in to try and body him but Sigurdarson got a shot away in the box that was denied by Jack Kilstrom
- Eagles generated another good scoring chance in the 18th minute
- Sodai Koketsu put a long throw in front of goal that deflected right to Ethan Marks who snapped a header toward the goal but Matheus Rhormens was well positioned for the save
- Marks had a chance in the 29th minute as he ran on and tried to flick a bouncing ball by the keeper, but Rhormens corralled the ball
- Just seconds later Queens countered and found the back of the net as Oliver Kneer dribbled himself free in the box and cracked a shot into the top left corner to put Queens on top
- Eagles had a solid look to equalize in the 69th minute as Haruto Horii beat a couple of defenders off the dribble, slipped a pass to Diomario Adamson who took a touch and fired a shot from 20 yards out just wide of the right post
- Winthrop was able to work its way forward a number of times in the second half but unable to get a final connection to find a goal

- Queens had a 14-9 advantage in total shots and 6-2 in shots on goal
- Jack Kilstrom finished with five saves in the match
- Riveron Sagrero had a team-high three shots including the one in the 9th minute that hit the crossbar
