Game Recap
- Eagles had a great opportunity in the 10th minute as Mathew Williams served a ball directly in front of goal as Ethan Marks ran on and headed the ball toward goal but was denied by Harrison Gough with a quick reaction save
- Chanticleers struck in the 30th minute to grab the lead as Jon Almudi played a pass down the middle of the field to Loed Klaasen who then slipped a pass through the Winthrop defense to Jaland Larmond who slotted it home
- Rest of the first half both teams had opportunities but were unable to test either keeper
- In the 48th minute, the Eagles won the ball at midfield and countered as Haruto Horii dribbled down the middle of the field and slipped a ball through to Pierson Kliebert
- Kliebert chased it down and from an angle tried to slip a shot past Gough but he made the save
- Off a throw in near midfield, Klaasen won the ball and dribbled into space and slipped a pass through to Angel Lopez Martin and he placed a shot into the lower right corner as he crossed into the area
- Coastal added another goal in the 86th minute as the Eagles pushed forward offensively
- Eagles created a couple scoring opportunities in the second half but were unable to find the target or test Gough in goal
