CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Big South Conference has released their 2025 Preseason Men's and Women's Cross Country Poll, with Winthrop Men's and Women's squads checking in at seventh and eighth place, respectively. 

Winthrop's men's unit features four of the eight being freshmen, with returners being Chadwick Sisson, Mitchell Hill, Griffin McNeish, and Jason Krell. Sisson returns for his junior campaign after claiming his spot on the Big South All-Academic Team. 

On the women's side, the Eagles return a more tenured squad, as five of the six on the roster are back on the start line for Winthrop. The returners are highlighted by two-time Big South All-Academic honoree Olivia Kemp and Big South Conference Women's Cross Country Freshman Runner of the Week (Oct. 14) Anna Conrad. They are flanked by Ella Collins, Brianna Dooney, and Kayah Marques. 

Winthrop opens the season next week in Spartanburg, S.C. at the USC Upstate "Eye Opener" on Aug. 29.
