Greensboro, N.C. – Winthrop scored six runs in the eighth to rally for the victory at NC A&T Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Eagles made the score 1-0 in the top of the first on Koby Kropf's sac fly to left field, getting Natividad in on the play
• JT Taylor homered with two outs for the Aggies in the bottom of the inning to tie the game
• The Aggies took a 2-1 lead in the third as Nick DiCarlo scored from third on an error with two outs
• But Natividad's groundout drove in Chazz Grossington to knot the score at 2-2 in the top of the fourth
• NC A&T reclaimed the edge on DiCarlo's sac fly to center field in the bottom of the fifth
• With Natividad at third, Kropf struck out to end Winthrop's chance to square the contest again in the seventh
• However, the Eagles would get another opportunity in the top of the eighth and this time capitalized in a major way, scoring six runs in the stanza to rally for the victory
• Ethan Wilson's single to left field with no one out scored Skowronski to tie the game and two plays later scored on a wild pitch, putting Winthrop ahead to stay
• Eagles added some insurance in the final inning on Natividad's two-run RBI double to left field with one out

• Winthrop moves to 1,397-1,014-7 all-time as a program
• The Eagles swept the two-game series from the Aggies this season
• This was Veselinovic's first career win in a Winthrop uniform, as he pitched the final four innings and held the Aggies scoreless
