Emma Jackson has been tabbed as the Big South Conference Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Jackson batted .500 (10-20) with nine runs scored, six RBI, one double, three home runs and walked seven times for an on-base percentage of .630 in seven games. She began the week homering in the bottom of the first against Youngstown State to spark a 3-run inning. Then she led off the bottom of the second with a home run, which proved to be the game-winning run in an 8-3 win. Jackson Led off the sixth and scored on a home run. In the next game against Mount St. Mary's, she drove in a run with a single and also scored in a 4-run second inning. In the win over Norfolk State, she led off the bottom of the first with a home run and walked in her second at-bat of the inning. Jackson singled in her first three at-bats vs. Western Carolina and in the third one drove in a run. In the final game of the week, a 4-2 win over Western Carolina, she was 1-1 with three walks.
This is the fourth conference weekly honor the Eagles have earned this season as Jackson joins teammates
