Game Recap
- Eagles earned a corner in the early going and Monssi Avila-Gutierrez's corner curled to the near post and deflected off a crowd of players and into the near post for the lead
- In the 13th minute, Bella Burr had a clean look at goal but her shot was at Mia Vrataric who was positioned well
- In the 18th minute, Avila-Gutierrez nearly netted her second goal as she let a shot fly from outside the box that just missed the right side of the frame
- Panthers had another good chance in the 24th minute as Faye Battersby's shot to the lower corner was tipped wide by Vrataric for a corner
- Avila-Gutierrez's goal was the difference in the first 45 as the Eagles led at the break
- Cordelia McIntosh nearly doubled the lead in the 48th minute as her shot from outside the area hit the bottom of the crossbar and bounced down and out from goal as the Eagles followed to score but were whistled for offsides
- In the 60th minute Amalie Steen took a shot from inside the box to the right of the keeper and her shot just missed the top right corner
- The Panthers earned a free kick about 25-30 yards out from goal a little off center of goal to the left
- Kasey Resker's free kick curled just at the edge of the top of the six at the back post and Sabba Haghgoo got on the other end and headed it home to tie the match in the 67th minute
- Eagles pushed to find a go-ahead goal and came close in the 83rd minute as Lauren Kelly ripped a shot from 25 yards out to the right corner of the frame that Aubrey McKessy saved but the ball popped out in front of her
- McKessy just beat a Winthrop player to the ball to secure the rebound
- Kylie Full got a shot off near the edge of the box toward the lower left corner but was off target

- With the tie the Eagles season comes to a conclusion
- The goal by Avila-Gutierrez was the second-fastest goal to start a game by an Eagle in program history
- Avila-Gutierrez's goal came 46 seconds into the match as the record for fastest by an Eagle is Courtney Dubrin is 23 seconds which she achieved Sept. 27, 2011 at Gardner-Webb
- So Avila-Gutierrez's goal is the fastest to start a match by an Eagle at home
- Three of the five fastest goals to start a game in program history have come against High Point
- This was the 6th draw on the season, which ties the program record for a single-season with the 2009 team
- Winthrop allowed just 22 goals on the season, tied for the fourth fewest by an Eagle team in a single-season
