Clinton, S.C. – Winthrop lost the second game of the three-game series at Presbyterian College by a final score of 13-1 Saturday afternoon. Winthrop drops to 13-19-1 overall and 4-7 in Big South play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Brody Fahr and Joel Dragoo had consecutive home runs in the first inning to give Presbyterian a 2-0 lead.
• Eli Lazio and Jay Wetherington each came home to score in the next inning on a wild pitch and a passed ball, doubling the lead for the Blue Hose.
• Chancellor Jennings got the Eagles on the board in the top of the fourth with a homer.
• In the bottom of the sixth, Lazio grounded out, advancing Jake Randolph to third.
• But on the next play, Wetherington grounded out to end the inning.
• Nick Lebron singled up the middle with one out in the seventh to drive in Dragoo and put PC ahead 5-1.
• Winthrop's last chance to rally came in the eighth when Jaylen Hernandez singled down the left field line with two outs and getting Charlie Evans to third.
• But Will Dorrell grounded out to end the inning.
• The Blue Hose wrapped up the scoring with eight runs in their half of the eighth.
