Charlotte, N.C. – Queens scored four runs in the final two innings to record a come-from-behind victory over Winthrop by a final score of 13-12 on Tuesday evening. With the loss, Winthrop falls to 2-7 overall on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With Charlie Evans at third with one out to start the evening, two straight strikeouts ended the first inning for Winthrop.
- JJ Sousa hit a two-run homer to right field, putting the Royals up 2-0 after their half of the first.
- The Eagles quickly rallied to tie the game in the second on Ricky Teel's RBI groundout and Chazz Grossington's RBI single to right field.
- Nick Alderfer broke the tie in the bottom of the inning with a deep shot to left center field.
- The Royals extended their lead to two in the next inning with their third homer of the night, this one to left field by Dillon Lewis with two outs.
- Winthrop came alive in the fifth, loading the bases with no one out and scoring four runs in the frame.
- Anthony Ruocco singled to bring Ricky Teel home and on the next play, Nicholas Badillo gave the Eagles their first lead of the night on an RBI single, bringing home two runners.
- Two plays later Nate Chronis put Winthrop ahead 6-4 with an RBI groundout, getting Ruocco home.
- Grossington made it a three-run game in the sixth on a single to left field, driving in Colin Lombardo.
- The Eagles doubled the score in the seventh as Teel drove in three runs with a double.
- The Royals battled back with five runs in the seventh.
- But Badillo hit a huge two-run home run to right center field with two outs in the eighth to put Winthrop up 12-9.
- Queens tied the contest with two home runs in their half of the 8th inning and then Tyler Cotto hit their sixth and final home run of the night for the walk-off win in the bottom of the ninth.
