Lumpkin Turns In Strong Performance As Eagles Fall To Rutgers

Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop dropped the season series to Rutgers at home by a final score of 3-1 Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Eagles move to 0-2 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Rutgers scored one run in each of the first two innings.
  • Nate Chronis hit Winthrop's first homer of the 2024 season in the seventh, cutting the deficit in half.
  • Rutgers restored the lead back to two in their half of the eighth on a fly out
