- Daren Hinds posted a career-best time in the men's 8k to highlight Winthrop's first meet in a month at the Pirate Cross Country Invitational last Friday
- On the men's side (8k), senior Daren Hinds placed 21st overall with a time of 24:33, resulting in Winthrop's top individual finish in the event
- Graduate student Jason Krell made his Eagle debut with a time of 26:00 to finish second for the Eagles individually
- Freshman Connor Magill placed third for the Winthrop men's squad with a time of 26:26
- Junior Griffin McNeish and senior Nolan Weisdorfer placed fourth and fifth for the Eagles with times of 26:49 and 27:07, respectively
- On the women's side (6k), freshman Anna Conrad had a time of 23:10, resulting in Winthrop's top individual finish in the event
- Freshman Ella Collins made her Eagle debut, placing second with a time of 23:39
- Junior Olivia Kemp and sophomore Kayah Marques had the third and fourth best placements for the Eagles with times of 23:53 and 24:05, respectively
- Sophomore Alexis Taylor rounded out the Eagle women by placing fifth with a time of 24:27
