Rock Hill, S.C. – Alex Timmerman's 16 points led six players in double-figures to lead Winthrop to a 113-62 victory over Toccoa Falls, Friday evening.

- Anthony Williams II (20 points, 3 rebounds, assist)

FIRST HALF
- Chase Claxton knocked down two free throws to open the scoring in the game
- After a made three off an inbound by Anthony Williams II, Nick Johnson hit a short baseline floater for a 4-3 lead
- The Johnson jumper sparked an 11-0 run as Sin'Cere McMahon followed with a three and a 7-3 lead
- A left-handed hook by Alex Timmerman and a baseline drive and back-to-back buckets from Yoro Diallo completed the run for a 13-3 advantage with 15:39 on the clock
- Xavier McKelvy finished an alley-oop on the break and then stole the ball and finished with a slam to highlight a 6-0 spurt that forced a timeout by Toccoa Falls
- McKelvy scored six straight points as he knocked down two free throws for a 21-7 advantage
- An 8-0 run midway through the half pushed the lead to 20-plus as K.J. Doucet and Micheal Anumba knocked down free throws to lead 32-10
- Eagles scored the final six points of the half to lead 61-31 at the break
- Winthrop shot 62 percent from the floor and was 14-of-14 at the foul line while holding Toccoa Falls to 36 percent shooting
SECOND HALF
- Winthrop opened the second half outscoring Toccoa Falls 17-4 over the first 6:21 with seven different players contributing
- Eagles extended the lead to 40-plus at the 14:12 mark when Timmerman scored inside to lead 76-35
- Winthrop hit the century mark when Michael Moore scored on a reverse layup at the 2:36 mark
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Winthrop finished the game shooting 53 percent while holding Toccoa Falls to 34 percent from the floor
- Winthrop finished 17-of-21 at the foul line and Toccoa Falls was 4-for-7
- Winthrop won the battle on the glass 59-25 and had 20 offensive rebounds that led to 19 second chance points
- Diallo's 14 points led a bench that contributed 57 points
NOTABLES
- The 113 points were the 8th most scored in a single-game by the Eagles
- The 61 points in the first half were the most in the first 20 minutes since the Eagles scored 60 vs. Warren Wilson on Nov. 24, 2018
- In addition to a career-high 14 points, Diallo also boarded a career-high 12 rebounds for his first career double-double
- Michael Moore also set a career-high with 12 points while Clay Howard posted a career-best eight points in four minutes of action
