Game Recap
- Davidson's Remi White tried to gain an early lead as she dribbled across the top of the box and fired a shot toward frame
- The shot took a slight deflection off the foot of a defender as it headed toward the right corner but Izzy Giarrizzi made the diving save to her left in the 11th minute
- In the 34th minute, Giarrizzi came up big again as a corner kick delivery in front of goal bounced around as Kialie Hudson fired a shot toward the top right corner
- Giarrizzi was able to react in time and tip the ball away and eventually collected the loose ball in front of goal
- In the 82nd minute Davidson's Hailey Braemer won the ball in the midfield and dribbled down the outside of the box and delivered a cross
- The service by Braemer went to the back post and Aleia Gisolfi-McCready ran on to the ball and just beat the Winthrop defender to it as she powered a shot past Giazrrizzi from just in front of the six yard box
