Game Recap
- The Camels had 13 shots in the first half, but just three on target
- Campbell took a 1-0 lead into halftime thanks to a goal in the 42nd minute
- Jackie Richards beat a defender off the dribble, then played a ball in between the six and the spot as Jessica Donald made a late run and just placed a shot past the outstretched arms of Izzy Giarrizzi
- Eagles tied the game in the 73rd minute thanks to a hustle play from Kylie Full
- Emma Smith delivered a corner into the box that was headed away toward the top of the box. Full chased down and stole the ball from a defender before they could clear it
- Full played the ball back wide to Smith who served a cross near post as Annabel Thomas ran on an with the outside of her right foot powered a volley past the keeper
- The Camels found the back of the net in the 89th minute when Kaleigh Backlund received a pass around the right corner of the six yard box and she turned from a tight angle and fired a shot that went hit and beat Giarrizzi near post

- Giarrizzi tied her career-high with nine saves
- Thomas scored her six goal of the season and now leads the team with 14 points
- Smith now leads the team with four assists
Looking Ahead
Winthrop returns home for a midweek contest on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m. against Radford. The game is part of doubleheader with the men's team who will play Gardner-Webb at 7:30 p.m.
