Box Score DELAND, Fla. – The Winthrop lacrosse program stormed back from a three-goal deficit Sunday afternoon at Stetson, but the homestanding Hatters notched the final two scores of the game for a 15-13 victory. With the loss, the Eagles drop to 0-3 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alyssa Angelo had three goals in the first quarter as the Eagles scored four overall
- Stetson matched them with four goals of their own in the period
- The Hatters scored the first two goals of the second quarter for a 6-4 lead
- Angelo responded with yet another goal to slice the lead to one
- Stetson tacked on two more scores going into the halftime break
- The Eagles stormed out of the locker room and got back into the game, tying the score at 13 in the fourth quarter
- Winthrop was unable to seize the lead as the Hatters scored twice in the final minutes for a two-goal win

- Angelo's four goals were the most by an Eagle in a single half this season
- Kimora Bailey was the only Winthrop player with multiple ground balls in the first half as she had two
