Greensboro, N.C. — Willis Rogers posted a collegiate-low 54-hole total after a final round of 4-under to lead the Winthrop men's golf team with a T19 finish at the Grandover Collegiate, Sunday afternoon.

- The Eagles moved up four spots after the second round and one more in the final round to finish T11
- Senior Willis Rogers set a couple of collegiate-lows, including his best finish of T19 to lead the team
- Willis posted his collegiate-low round of 72 in the second round and then bettered that by four shots with a 4-under 68 in the final round
- Willis opened the event with a 76 and then improved by four strokes in the second round and another four strokes in the final round to shoot a 216 54-hole total, which is a new collegiate-low (9 strokes better than previous)
- Despite a quadruple bogey on his first hole played in the second round, Rogers shot a collegiate-low 72
- Over the next 35 holes following the quad bogey, Willis was 8-under par
- Nick Mayfield was the second-best finish for the Eagles at T27 as he posted his low round of the event coming in the final round (even par 72)
- Charles Collings matched Rogers with an even par 72 as the both led with a team-low in the second round
- The 4-under round ties Mayfield for the lowest by an Eagle this season
- The Eagles finished 7th in the field with 46 birdies
- Ian Faulconer led the Eagles in Par 3 scoring at 1-under while Collings was next at even par
- Rogers led the team in Par 4 scoring at 1-under, tied for the third lowest among the field
- Mayfield led the Eagles in Par 5 scoring at 3-under
