ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop lacrosse will travel to Presbyterian for a non-conference meeting with the Blue Hose on Wednesday, April 14 at 3 p.m.
These teams opened the 2021 season against one another in Rock Hill, where the Eagles took the Big South win, 19-6. The Eagles currently have a 10-0 all-time series lead over the Blue Hose.

EAGLES AT A GLANCE

After a career-high five goals at High Point, senior
McKenna Blick has 21 goals and a 1.91 goals per game average on the season, 10th in the Big South and a team high.
Bianca Tedesco's 15 goals and conference-high 23 assists gives her 38 points on the season, which cracks the Top 5 in the Big South.
Despite the loss,
Sara McGuire had a career-high 13 saves against the Panthers, facing 41 shots. Her .449 save percentage is tied for best in the conference.
Alyssa Angelo has been key on the defensive end, with a team-leading 15 caused turnovers, while also top four fourth on the team in points, goals, assists, ground balls and draw controls.
Kimora Bailey leads the squad with 18 ground balls and 53 won draw controls.
SCOUTING PRESBYTERIAN
The Blue Hose are coming off a big 16-7 road win over Lander on April 11.
In the win, Abby Edmisten tied Presbyterian's single-game record with 10 points, with nine goals. She now has 32 goals and six assists on the season, a collegiate-best for the sophomore. Her nine-goal performance is a Big South best this season, with her 4 goals per game average being good enough for second most in the conference.
Kara DiClemente has a team leading 28 won draw controls, while Taryn Thomas has a team-high eight caused turnovers on the season.
Goalie Heidi Shafer has started all 10 games for the Blue Hose. She currently has a 4-6 overall record, with a .374 save percentage, fourth best in the Big South. The goalie's 21 ground balls is a team high.
