Rock Hill, S.C.— Valentine Savioz fired a collegiate-low 2-under 70 to lead the Winthrop women's golf team in the final round of the Georgia State Invitational, Tuesday afternoon.

- Valentine Savioz played her final 15 holes at 2-under to post her best collegiate round
- Savioz jumped 10 spots in the final round to finish T28
- Fellow freshman Regan Clifford had the second-best finish on the team at T40 after her final round 76 (+4)
- Alexis Brindley finished T46 and set a 54-hole low of 232, beating her previous mark of 233 set at the 2018 Starmount Fall Classic
- Savioz 2-under 70 is the lowest by an Eagle this season and the first to shoot 2-under or lower since Julie Reinertsen shot 3-under in the second round of the 2018 Starmount Fall Classic
- It's the lowest final round score by an Eagle since Chelsea Dantonio in the final round of the 2017 JU Amelia Island Intercollegiate (-2)
- Savioz is the first Winthrop freshman to post a round under par since Dantonio did so in the second round of the 2016 Big South Conference Championship (-1)
- Eagles were tied for 4th in Par 5 scoring at (+6)
- Clifford and Savioz led the team in Par 3 scoring (+3), Savioz led in Par 4 scoring (+8) and Cliford and Whitney Carter led in Par 5 scoring at even
