In seven meetings all-time on Eagle Field, Winthrop is 7-0 against the Lancers. A GLANCE AT WINTHROP
Winthrop will be in action for the first time since Mar. 17 when it hosted High Point. Winthrop is coming off a 3-0 loss to High Point at home on Wednesday in a match that got away from the Eagles late. It was a game in which the Eagles got forward a lot and dumped a lot of services into the box but just couldn't connect.
Jackson is set to make his 35th appearance (28th start) while Smith is making his 56th appearance (46th start). Conor Maher could make his 39th appearance and 22nd career start come Sunday.

BIG SOUTH PRESEASON POLL
The Eagles were voted 7th in the 2020-21 Big South Conference preseason poll. Campbell is the preseason favorite receiving five first-place votes while High Point is second, just six votes behind. Gardner-Webb was voted third followed by Presbyterian College, USC Upstate, Winthrop, Radford and UNC Asheville.

WHAT'S AHEAD
Next up for the Eagles will be the make-up date against Gardner-Webb when the two teams square off on Eagle Field, Wednesday, Mar. 31 at 6 p.m.
