EAGLES AT A GLANCE

Alyssa Angelo leads the team with 12 goals on the young season, scoring multiple in 4-of-5 games.

Kelsey Johnson hanging on to a 2-1 record, behind 20 saves made.
Sara McGuire has a .429 save percentage after appearing in three contests.
Kimora Bailey continues to be a beast on the draw control and has won 25 this season;
Lauren Asher is right behind her with 18.
Rachel Miller, who has already earned conference Defensive Player of the Week honors for her performance in the season opener, leads the team with seven caused turnovers.
Winthrop and Furman have only met once before, during the 2016 season, where the Eagles defeated the Paladins, 15-5 at home.
SCOUTING FURMAN
The Paladins enter the contest winning two of its last three games, coming off a 13-8 loss to No. 25 Elon.
Goalie Meghan Deeham recorded 11 saves in the loss to Elon, earning herself SoCon Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second straight week. She also picked up a game and career-high six ground balls.
Kyra LaMotte leads the team with 22 goals this season and 11 ground balls, while Hannah Demis is the Paladins assist leader with 18 so far.
On the defensive end, Avery Whitehead and Regan Lingo have both caused six turnovers, a team-most on the season.
The Paladins were selected to finish second in the SOCon preseason poll, receiving one first place vote. They also had four players named to the Preseason All-Southern Conference Team; Hannah Demis, Sydney Catts, Lauren Farber and Avery Whitehead.
The Paladins are led by seventh-year head coach, Rachel Shuck Whitten.
