ROCK HILL, SC— The time has arrived for Winthrop women's soccer as it returns to the field for the first time since Nov. 1, 2019 when it hosts High Point on Feb. 21.

SEASON OPENERS/HIGH POINT SERIES HISTORY
Eagles are 4-8-5 all-time in season openers and 3-6-4 when opening the season at home on Eagle Field. This will be the 14
th time the Eagles have opened their season schedule at home. Eagles are 6-12-4 against High Point all-time and 3-4-2 at home.
GLANCE AT THE EAGLES
Eagles lost the Top 5 scorers and a total of eight starters from the 2019 team that was 8-7-1, and 6-3-1 in Big South play. Despite the amount of experience that departed, the Eagles still feature a veteran squad with eight seniors and six juniors.
Senior
Megan Loveland is the top returning scorer as she started all 16 games in 2019. Junior
Alexandra Perez started 14-of-15 games and had one goal, one assist.
Ashlynn Harris brings a lot of experience in between the posts with 24 starts in 27 appearances. In 2019 Harris won eight games in goal and recorded four shutouts. Senior
Morrison Trnavsky made nine starts in 2019 and played in all 16 games.

Games are open to the general public. All patrons that enter the Winthrop Softball Complex must adhere to university and athletic department policies as well as the COVID-19 Executive Orders by the South Carolina Governor. While inside the facility all patrons must wear a mask, practicing social distancing, and avoid large/mass gatherings.
