Eagles Travel To High Point, Thursday Night's Game On ESPNU

Rock Hill, S.C. – There are just four regular season games remaining for Winthrop men's basketball as it heads to High Point for its final road series Feb. 18-19. Thursday night's is part of the ESPNU Wild Card selection as the team's will tip-off at 9 p.m. on ESPNU. Friday's game can be seen on ESPN+ starting at 7 p.m.

  • Smith has 622 wins in his 28th season overall (630-351) and has been National Coach of the Year three times while leading teams to 20 postseasons in his career
  • Panthers are led by John-Micheal Wright, who is second in the league in scoring at 20.4 ppg
  • He has led the team in scoring the last five games and 13 overall this year
  • In the last five games he's hit the 20-point plateau on four occasions
  • Panthers have dropped two of their last three games but have won four of the last six
  • The last two losses have been by a combined six points
