SERIES HISTORY
- This series began Jan. 7, 1986 in Rock Hill as the Eagles defeated the Lancers 80-68
- That season the two teams played a home-and-home as Longwood won the second meeting 67-58 in Farmville, Va.
- After that it was nearly 30 years until the teams squared off again when Longwood joined the Big South in 2012-13
- Winthrop won the last meeting 70-68 in Farmville on Feb. 8, 2020 and leads the all-time series 13-3 and 11-2 in regular season meetings

- Winthrop is 11-0, which is the best start in the history of the program and the Big South Conference
- Eagles are 8-0 in the Big South for a second straight season, the first Big South member to achieve this since Coastal Carolina did it in 1989-90, 1990-91
- Winthrop is ranked 2nd in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll for a fourth straight week, tied for its highest ranking ever in the poll
- This week the Eagles received two votes in the AP Top 25 Poll
- Eagles are tied with Gonzaga for the longest current win streak at 16 games (both teams play Thursday night)
- The 16-game win streak is the third longest in program history and second time under Kelsey the team has won at least 14 straight
- Winthrop leads the Big South in scoring at 86.5 ppg while Longwood is 3rd in scoring defense at 70.7 ppg

- In last year's matchup against the Lancers in the Winthrop Coliseum Vaudrin posted a triple-double of 10 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists
- This season Vaudrin has already posted two triple-doubles in league play
- Eagles had the 4th most wins at the NCAA D1 level in 2020 with 25 (Kansas/Gonzaga/Belmont tied for most with 26)

LONGWOOD
- Griff Aldrich is in his 3rd season at the helm of the Longwood program and holds a 33-47 record overall and 16-26 in league action
- Lancers are 2-3 in the last five games with the three losses coming by six or fewer points
- Coming off a win over Campbell in which the Lancers trailed by 12 late in the first half
- DeShaun Wade has led the team in scoring two of the last three games as he's currently second on the team in scoring at 11.9 ppg
- Juan Munoz leads the team at 12.4 ppg and has a team-high 28 triples
- Munoz averaged 16.0 points, 3.5 rebounds against the Eagles in 2019-20 and shot 61 percent from the floor
