Charlotte, N.C.— Winthrop softball dropped its second straight game with a 9-2 loss at Charlotte, Sunday afternoon its final game of the Green & White Classic.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Tori Walker led off the game with a single, moved to second base on an error by the left fielder on the play
- After Sabrina Shroades line out to short, Ashley Westbrooks delivered with a double to left for the 1-0 lead
- The 49ers came right back to take a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first with a two-run single by Rochelle
- Charlotte added another in the second as Henderson reached on an error with two outs and Gray singled her home for the 3-1 lead
- Eagle got one back in the third inning as Ellie Marks led off with a double to left
- Walker moved Marks over to third on a ground out and Westbrooks drove her home with a single to short
- Charlotte doubled its lead to 4-2 in the fifth inning as Vannoy walked with two outs and Rochelle doubled to right center to score Vannoy
- Charlotte's Wright led off the sixth with a first pitch home run to center for a 5-2 lead
- 49ers added four more unearned runs in the inning to open up its lead
EXTRA BASES
- Westbrooks had two RBI, her third multi-RBI game of the year
- Westbrooks moved into 15th all-time in hits and into 9th for RBI (Just an RBI behind 8th)
- With her RBI double in the first inning, she moved into a 9th-place tie with 32 career doubles
- Five of the nine runs for Charlotte came with two outs
