ROCK HILL, SC—Winthrop men's golf will not open its season Sept. 9-10 as the tournament has been canceled due to unplayable golf course conditions from Hurricane Dorian. The Eagles were set to compete in the Battle at Briar's Creek hosted by the College of Charleston.
Winthrop's next event is scheduled for Sept. 23-24 when the team travels to Birmingham, AL for the Graeme McDowell Invitational.
