Rock Hill, S.C.- In only their second competitive action of the season, Winthrop's Overwatch team qualified for the Fall 2019 Tespa Varsity Series Invitational over the weekend.  The team will now compete among the top 16 collegiate teams in the nation for a shot at the fall championship.

Winthrop won its way through a qualifier bracket to make the tournament, defeating Texas Wesleyan, Ashland, UC Santa Cruz, Oklahoma, and Midland. While groups have yet to be announced, matches in the group stage of the competition will begin this Saturday.
