ROCK HILL, SC— A new era in women's golf at Winthrop as first-year head coach Kasay Gambrell and the Eagles open the fall schedule Sept. 23-24 at the Pirate Collegiate Classic.

A GLANCE AT THE EAGLES

This is the first tournament as head coach of the Eagles for Kasay Gambrell
Over the last two seasons the Eagles have lost three of the most successful golfers in the history of the program
The top returners for 2019-20 are sophomore Sarah Funderburg, senior Whitney Carter, junior Alexis Brindley and redshirt sophomore Carleigh Greene

She was third on the team in birdies and driving accuracy last season

Greene played in four tournaments, averaging 83.50
Sophomore Sabrina Fonda, who was the team's top qualifier for the event, played in three tournaments last year, firing a low round of 77 in the opening round of the Terrier Intercollegiate
