Allie Thomas scored her third goal in two games on Sunday night, a header from a
Keeley Leising corner kick in the 72nd minute to down East Tennessee State 1-0 at Eagle Field. The goal was Thomas' third of the season while Leising's now has seven assists on the year, which leads the Big South Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Winthrop and ETSU battled for 90 minutes in a hard fought possession battle where quality chances were at a premium. Winthrop outshot ETSU 9-7 for the game, with the Eagles putting 3 shots on goal.
