ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop lacrosse team looks to stay unbeaten in Big South play and extend its winning streak Saturday as the Eagles head to Farmville, VA to take on the Longwood Lancers.

WINTHROP AT A GLANCE
Winthrop earned a convincing 17-4 victory over Presbyterian Wednesday. Freshman
Mia Creighton scored a career-high seven goals and dished out another assist in the victory.
Lauren Morris added three goals and two assists while
McKenna Blick scored twice and assisted on two others. Creighton currently leads the Big South with 4.33 goals per game in conference contests.
Alaina Girani leads the conference, making just shy of 12 saves per game in Big South play.
SCOUTING LONGWOOD
Longwood enters Saturday's contest with a 5-8 overall record and a 2-1 mark in the Big South. The Lancers are coming off back-to-back one-goal victories over Radford and Gardner-Webb. Kaitlin Luccarelli leads Longwood with 59 points this season on 41 goals and 18 assists. Danielle Burke has played the majority of minutes in goal for the Lancers this year, allowing more than 14 goals per game while making 39 percent of her saves.
ALL-TIME AGAINST LONGWOOD
Winthrop is 5-2 all-time against the Lancers and is riding a five-game winning streak in the series. The Eagles downed Longwood twice last year and have not lost since 2014.

Winthrop returns home to close out the regular season with two contests next week. The Eagles will host Radford on Wednesday before a showdown with nationally-ranked High Point next Saturday.
