Women's Golf Seeded 4th For This Week's Big South Conference Championship

ROCK HILL, SC—The seeds for the 2019 Big South Conference Women's Golf Championship presented by Musco Sports Lighting have been announced as Winthrop will be seeded fourth for this week's championship.

Dates: Friday, Apr. 12, 2019 – Sunday, Apr. 14, 2019
Location: Ninety-Six, SC
Course: The Patriot Golf Club (Par 72 / 6,230 yards)
Format: 54-Hole Tournament (Thursday – practice round / Friday – 18 holes / Saturday – 18 holes / Sunday – 18 holes)
Tee Times: Friday – 8:30 a.m. – 9:10 a.m. off No. 1 hole | Saturday - 8:30 a.m. – 9:10 a.m. off No. 1 hole) | Sunday – TBD (set by leaderboard after 36 holes)

  • Morgan McClaugherty ranks 36th nationally in fairways hit (.816) while Dantonio is 45th (.811)
  • As a team the Eagles rank 22nd in fairways hit (.744)
  • Dantonio also ranks 50th in the country in putts per round (31.11)

Meanwhile, the Big South Conference will announce its 2019 All-Conference Team, All-Freshman Team, All-Academic Team, All-Championship Team and the annual award winners on Sunday, April 14 as part of the post-Championship awards ceremony.
