NORFOLK, Va. – Winthrop women's tennis (11-5, 7-0 Big South) fell on the road to No. 28 Old Dominion (15-2) Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
-The Monarchs took the doubles point with wins on courts one and three, leaving two unfinished.
 
-ODU clinched the team win with victories on courts three, four and five. Alisa Soloveva put the Eagles on the board first with a victory at No. 2. Natalia Vlasova pushed Soloveva to a third-set tiebreaker decision. Senior Ellie Burns took a 6-4 win in her first set, but Alesya Yakubovich answered with a 6-1 second set and won the third-set tiebreaker. No. 43 Lauren Proctor earned the Eagles' second point with a victory at No. 1, taking down ODU's Holly Hutchinson in a third-set tiebreaker.
