ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop lacrosse team continues on the road Thursday evening with an in-state matchup with the Wofford Terriers before returning home to host the Mercer Bears Saturday.

WINTHROP AT A GLANCE
Winthrop played in Nashville over the weekend against Vanderbilt and struggled offensively, totaling only three goals in a 17-3 loss to the Commodores. Freshman
Mia Creighton scored twice while sophomore
McKenna Blick added the third on an assist from Creighton.
Lauren Morris continues to lead the team with 20 goals while Creighton has moved to second with 15 this season.
SCOUTING WOFFORD
Wofford enters the mid-week contest with a 2-5 overall record and is coming off a big 18-5 victory over Hartford on Saturday. The Terriers are currently 0-3 at home this season. Elisabeth Ralph and Hannah Mutch have led Wofford offensively this season, totaling 16 and 15 goals respectively. Kelsey Thompson has played every minute in goal this season, allowing just shy of 15 goals per game while making 42 percent of her saves.
SCOUTING MERCER
Mercer is 3-5 on the season and is coming off a 20-9 victory over Kennesaw State Tuesday. The Bears have won their last three contests, having not lost since March 7 in a three-goal setback to Davidson. Hailey Rhatigan leads the Bears with 23 goals and 28 points on the season. Iseabal Cryne has played the majority of minutes in goal for Mercer, allowing 12.5 goals per game while making 46 percent of her saves.
ALL-TIME AGAINST WOFFORD
Wednesday will be the second all-time meeting between the two programs and the first in Spartanburg. The Eagles downed the Terriers 20-7 last season in Rock Hill.
ALL-TIME AGAINST MERCER
The Eagles and Bears met for the first time last year in Macon and the Eagles came away with a 14-9 victory.
