- The only meeting came 18 years ago on Nov. 30 in Hartford, CT as the Eagles fell 58-55

- Features two programs that lost the majority of their roster from a season ago
- Eagles returned six players that saw action in 2018-19 while Hartford returns seven players from its roster last season
- Eagles are opening on the road for the second straight season (opened up at Vanderbilt in 2018-19)
- Hartford has one game under its belt already as it opened the season on Tuesday at Central Connecticut State, earning a 74-59 road win

- The Hawks are led by John Gallagher in his 10th season (125-163)
- Gallagher has led the Hawks to back-to-back winning seasons
- This will be the first time Gallagher has led the Hawks against an opponent from the Big South Conference
- Hunter Marks led the Hawks with 19 points in the win over CCSU
- D.J. Mitchell scored 13 points off the bench while P.J. Henry added 10 points off the bench
- The roster features a trio of graduate transfers in Malik Ellison (Pittsburgh), Traci Carter (La Salle), and Key Sullivan (La Salle)
- Like the Eagles, the Hawks broke the program record for threes in 2018-19with 322 threes and have a streak of 389 consecutive games with a three
