- Head coach Pat Kelsey is in his eighth season with the Eagles (141-84)
- Kelsey is now all alone in 8th place for career wins in Big South history
- Eagles opened the season with four straight road games, going 2-2 with three games coming down to the wire
- Eagles will welcome a home game after traveling nearly 8,000 miles
- Redshirt-Junior Chandler Vaudrin leads the team with 12.7 ppg and 4.7 apg
- Senior Josh Ferguson is second on the team in scoring at 11.8 ppg while D.J. Burns Jr. is third at 11.3 ppg
- Burns Jr. is coming off a career-high 17 points as he played 27 minutes off the bench
MID-ATLANTIC CHRISTIAN
- The Mustangs are coached by Allan Harris, in his 5th year (30-78)
- Off to a 3-0 start with wins over Appalachian Bible, Blue Lights College and Regent University
- In the win over Regent, Jabari Richardson led the team with 18 points while grabbing four boards and dishing out three assists
- Kevin Fletcher added 17 points with six rebounds
- Winthrop is 1-of-4 NCAA D1 programs the Mustangs will take on this year
- Mid-Atlantic Christian took on Hampton on Nov. 6 as the Pirates won 112-52
- This will be the first of two trips to Rock Hill for the Mustangs as they'll battle Clinton College on Feb. 7, 2020

Joins us on Mondays at The Roasting Company throughout the basketball season will be the Winthrop Sports Show at ROCO hosted by the voices of the Winthrop Eagles

Mike Pacheco. The two will sit down weekly with head coaches
Pat Kelsey and
Lynette Woodard as well as other selected guests throughout the season. The show is from 6-6:30 p.m. and airs live on 94.3 FM & 104.1 The Bridge.
