- Head coach Pat Kelsey is in his eighth season with the Eagles (141-84)
- Kelsey is now all alone in 8th place for career wins in Big South history
- Coming off a 61-59 victory at #18 Saint Mary's for the program's third ever win over a Top 25 team (Saint Mary's was also #2 in the CollegeInsider.com Top 25 Mid-Major Poll)
- It was the first time the Eagles ever beat a nationally-ranked team in a true road game
- Eagles have been strong defensively, holding opponents to 64.3 ppg which ranks 4th in the Big South so far this season
- Chandler Vaudrin, who missed the opener, has come off the bench the last two games and averaging 14.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg and 4.apg to lead the Eagles
- Josh Ferguson is averaging 12.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg and 2.3 apg
- Ferguson is tied for 2nd in the Big South in threes per game at 2.7
- This game marks the third road game in a five-day span for the Eagles
ETSU
- The Bucs are led by 5th-year head coach Steve Forbes (100-39 at ETSU/268-99 career record)
- Forbes has coached the Bucs to 24 or more wins in each of his first four seasons
- Bucs are off to a 2-0 start with wins over Newberry and at UT-Martin
