ROCK HILL, SC - Two first half goals were more than enough for Winthrop on Wednesday, as the Eagles topped UNC Asheville 2-0 at Eagle Field for their fifth win in their last six contests. Gabi Hull drove home a bouncing rebound from a save by the UNC Asheville keeper. Hull's goal was her sixth of the season, The initial shot was taken by
Keeley Leising, who was credited with the assist for her ninth of the season.Â
Just seven minutes following Hull's opening goal,
Clara Conboy added Winthrop's second in the 14th minute.

The Eagle defense held off the Bulldogs for the remainder of the match, including two saves from Eagle goalkeeper
Ashlynn Harris.Â
