ROCK HILL, S.C. - Coming into the week with an overall record of 2-5-1 and 0-2-1 in Big South play, Winthrop women's soccer will travel to Charleston, S.C. Wednesday to take on Charleston Southern for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff before returning to Eagle Field to host Longwood on Saturday afternoon. Saturday's kickoff is set for 1 p.m. 

Last time out for the Eagles was a hard fought 1-1 draw against Campbell at Eagle Field this past Saturday. Gabi Hull netted the equalizing goal for the Eagles in the 60th minute before the Eagles and Camels battled through two overtimes to a stalemate. 

Coming into Wednesday's matchup, Charleston Southern holds an overall record of 3-5-1 with a Big South record of 0-1-2. The Buccaneers also played to a draw this past Saturday, a scoreless tie at Longwood that saw 48 combined shots between the two teams. CSU keeper Jazmin Gonzalez recorded seven saves in the match. In last season's game between Winthrop and Charleston Southern, the Bucaneers won a 1-0 game at Eagle Field for their second straight win in the series. 

As of Tuesday, Longwood is 3-5-1 on the season with a Big South record of 1-1-1. Longwood's last game was the 0-0 draw in two overtimes against Charleston Southern, and the Lancers will host Radford on Wednesday night before traveling to Rock Hill for Saturday's match. Last year, the Lancers topped the Eagles 2-1 in Farmville, Va. with Winthrop's goal coming from Dylan Patterson. 

Following Saturday's match vs. Longwood, the Winthrop Eagle Club will host a tailgate prior to the men's match at 5 p.m. vs. UNC Asheville.
