Rohan Boettcher each shot under par in the final round to lead the Winthrop men's golf team at the Firestone Invitational, Tuesday afternoon.

- Freshman Connor Barker and junior Rohan Boettcher each shot under par in the final round
- Barker birdied five holes on his way to a 1-under 71 while Boettcher birdied four holes and also shot a 1-under 71
- Junior Ryan Tattan shot a final round 73 as he was the top finisher at T27
- Barker finished right behind Tattan at T30 while Zak Butt finished T40
- Butt had a final round 74 and his lowest 54-hole total in the last six events (223)
- The Eagles finished with the third best Par 5 scoring at -22 and tied for second most eagles among the field
- Barker finished tied for first in Par 3 scoring at 1-under, Butt led the team in Par 4 scoring at +5 and Tattan led the team at -7 in Par 5 scoring
- Tattan's -7 in Par 5 scoring was tied for the second best in the field, Barker was tied for 3rd best at -6 and Butt was 5-under
- Tattan led Winthrop with 13 birdies, Butt had 12 birdies and Barker finished with 11
- Eagles finished four shots out of the Top 10 and seven shots back of 7th place

Winthrop will be off for the next few weeks before getting back on the course Oct. 20-22 in the Outer Banks. The Eagles return to compete in the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate.
