WINTHROP AT A GLANCE
The Eagles responded to a mid-week loss with a solid victory over Presbyterian Saturday afternoon.
Jah'Che Whitfield returned to double-figure scoring, leading the team with 13 points.
Kem Nwabudu led the team with nine rebounds. Winthrop shot the ball well in the second half, connecting on 48 percent of its shots from the field, 60 percent from three-point range and 80 percent from the free-throw line.
SCOUTING HIGH POINT
High Point enters Tuesday's contest on a two-game winnings streak and sits a half-game ahead of the Eagles in the standings. The Panthers are 5-2 in the Big South and 12-6 overall. High Point has four players averaging double figures this season, led by Preseason Player of the Year, Emma Bockrath with 16.2 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game. She is averaging just shy of 15 points per game in conference play.
ALL-TIME AGAINST HIGH POINT
Tuesday marks the 51
st all-time meeting between the Eagles and Panthers. High Point holds a 30-20 lead in the series and took both contests from Winthrop last season. Winthrop's last victory over the Panthers came February 10, 2015 as the Eagles won 91-74 inside the Winthrop Coliseum.
