DAVIDSON, N.C. – Winthrop men's tennis (1-2) fell on the road at Davidson (2-0) Sunday afternoon at the Knobloch Indoor Tennis Center 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
-Diego Quiroz and Connor Williamson delivered a 6-2 victory at the first doubles position, but the Wildcats took courts two and three to win the doubles point.
 
-In singles play, Williamson took his match to three sets, but Davidson's Sam Kavarana pulled ahead in the third after two long first sets.
 
-Davidson took all five of the other singles matches in straight sets.

UP NEXT
Winthrop hits the road this weekend with another pair of North Carolina teams, facing NC State on Sat., Feb. 2 at 5 p.m. and NC A&T on Sun., Feb. 3 at 2 p.m.
