WINTHROP AT A GLANCE
Winthrop is coming off back-to-back road conference victories for the first time since February of 2014.  Jah'Che Whitfield, who earned Big South Freshman of the Week honors last week, knocked down the game-winning shot with 1.5 seconds to play Saturday to lift the Eagles past Gardner-Webb.  Whitfield has scored in double figures in all six conference games this season.

SCOUTING HAMPTON
Hampton enters Tuesday's matchup with an 8-8 overall record and a 4-1 mark in the Big South.  The Pirates, one of two Big South newcomers, started the conference season 4-0 before falling to Campbell on Saturday.  Hampton has three players averaging double figures this season, led by Ashley Bates, averaging 16.8 points per game.  Lauren VanArsdale has averaged 14.5 points while Kaylah Lupoe has scored 10.5 points per game.

ALL-TIME AGAINST HAMPTON
The Eagles and Pirates have met only once before in the history of both programs.  Winthrop and Hampton met in a tournament at Morgan State University on November 26, 1982 with the Eagles winning 74-53.

WHAT'S UP NEXT
Winthrop will remain at home for its next conference contest, welcoming the Presbyterian Blue Hose on Saturday for a 2 p.m. tip.

WINTHROP SPORTS SHOW AT ROCO
Every Thursday at The Roasting Company throughout the basketball season will be the Winthrop Sports Show at ROCO hosted by the voices of the Winthrop Eagles Dave Friedman and Mike Pacheco. The two will sit down weekly with head coaches Pat Kelsey and Lynette Woodard as well as other selected guests throughout the season.
