ROCK HILL, SC— Winthrop men's golf continues their fall season at the Firestone Invitational, hosted by the University of Akron Oct. 1-2. The Eagles are fresh off of a solid start to the fall campaign at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate, where they shot three sub-300 rounds in the same tournament for the first time since the Seminole Intercollegiate in the spring of 2017.

A GLANCE AT THE EAGLES

• This is Winthrop's first trip to the Firestone Invitational
• Firestone Country Club has been the longtime host of the PGA Tour's WGC-Bridgestone Classic, and has hosted three PGA Championships (1960, 1966, and 1975)

• Michael McKee led the Eagles in the opening tournament of the fall season as he placed T10 at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate at 1-under
