ROCK HILL, SC— Raivis Scerbinskis scored a career-high 20 points off the bench to lead Winthrop men's basketball to a 116-76 victory over Warren Wilson, Saturday afternoon at the Winthrop Coliseum.

FIRST HALF
- The game was back and forth over the first nine and half minutes of the game
- The game was tied or Warren Wilson held the lead over the first two and a half minutes until the Eagles grabbed their first lead after a three-point play from Nych Smith as he floated in the air down the lane and made a tough shot to set up the three-point play opportunity
- Smith's play put the Eagles in front 7-6, but the Owls pushed the ball down the floor quickly and regained the lead as Jaquann Lockhart knocked down a jumper in transition
- Saadiq Johnson's three with 16:24 left in the half pushed the Warren Wilson lead to four points
- The two teams traded baskets on the next two possessions before Kyle Zunic's three made it a one-point game and started a 7-2 run for a 16-15 lead
- A free throw from Brent Davis with 12:45 left in the half tied the game for a 5th time
- Nobody scored over the next 1:44 until Josh Ferguson followed a miss by Micheal Anumba for a tip-in that started an 8-0 run capped off by a three from Smith
- Lockhart stopped the run with a three of his own but the Eagles continued to be aggressive offensively and reeled off 10 straight points for their largest lead at 17 (36-19)
- The run Zunic provided five points during the run while Anumba had a couple of baskets in the paint with the last one on the break for a lay-in
- Leading 46-28 with 4:18 the Eagles clamped down and pushed their halftime lead to 29 points with a 14-3 run behind two Bjorn Broman threes and another from Raivis Scerbinskis
- The Eagles shot 49 percent from the floor in the first half while holding Warren Wilson to 39 percent
- The Eagles had a 23-10 advantage in points off turnovers and 15-0 advantage in second chance points
SECOND HALF
- Over the first four and a half minutes of the second half the Eagles came out aggressive and pushed the lead to 46 points with a 20-3 run
- The Eagles bombarded the Owls from the outside as Smith, Broman, Charles Falden and Zunic all hit threes while
- After a three from Johnson, Scerbinskis hit back-to-back threes to give the Eagles their largest lead of the game at 49 points (86-37) with 14 minutes remaining
- The Eagles went further into their bench with just over 12 to play and ended up playing every player dressed for the game
- Winthrop shot 46 percent from the floor in the second half while the Owls shot 36 percent
- The Eagles nearly matched their first half total of second chance points with 14 in the second half for a game total of 29

- The 44 three-point attempts by Winthrop set a program single-game record (old record was 38 set against North Carolina on Nov. 15, 2006
- Winthrop has now hit 13 or more threes in four of the last five games
