th-ranked Kentucky, Wednesday afternoon at Rupp Arena.

FIRST HALF
- Eagles led in the early going as Josh Ferguson drilled a three for a 3-2 lead
- Trailing 9-5 Ferguson hit his second three to make it a one-point game with 16:09 left
- Back-to-back triples by Quade Green and Immanuel Quickley to put the Wildcats ahead 22-10
- Winthrop's Charles Falden answered with a four-point play as he drained a three while getting fouled and completed the play knocking down the free throw with 13:05 left in the half
- UK responded with a 6-0 spurt for a 14-point lead with just under 11 minutes left but Falden answered again with his second three of the game
- The lead stretched to 17 points by the Wildcats with another 6-0 spurt that ended with a Jermaine Ukaegbu dunk as Kentucky led 36-23
- With just under just under five left in the half, Bjorn Broman hit back-to-back threes to make it a 10-point game (42-32) with 4:29 left
- Another 6-0 run by UK late in the half pushed the lead to 16 points with 1:16 left and led 51-37 at the half
- Kentucky shot 60 percent from the floor in the first half while the Eagles were 42 percent

SECOND HALF
- Kentucky opened the second half with an 11-0 run that was halted by a corner three from Josh Ferguson, his third triple of the game
- That early run for Kentucky helped open up the game a bit as it led by 25 with 16:39 to play and then held its largest lead of 26 with just over 12 left in the half
- Kyle Zunic had an 8-0 by himself for the Eagles beginning with 6:40 to play as he hit back-to-back threes and then scored on a drive to make it a 17-point game
- After UK scored inside Zunic scored again, his 7th straight point as he scored on a drive to the basket which cut the deficit to 81-66
- Winthrop finished the game outscoring the Wildcats 6-2 to make it a 13-point game in the end
- The Eagles outscored Kentucky 37-36 in the second half as they shot 54 percent from the floor and were 6-of-11 from three
- The Wildcats shot 52 percent in the second half
