Game Recap
- Just a couple of minutes following a good scoring opportunity for the Eagles, the Blue Hose found the back of the net for a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute
- PC took advantage of a bad throw to the middle of the field as Adrian Edo Martin won a 50/50 ball, took one touch and cracked a shot toward goal from 30 yards
- The shot from Edo Martin looked like it might have hit the head of a Winthrop defender at the top of the box on the way to goal as Chandler Gaunce was moving to his right to make a save and then looked back to his left as the ball went into the net down the middle
- In the 16th minute the Eagles earned a free kick from about 25 yards out straight on from goal and Jordan Walshaw struck the free kick well as Jan Hoffelner had to make a diving save to his right
- In the 20th minute the Blue Hose grabbed a 2-0 lead as it earned a free kick straight on from goal about 30 yards out
- Jordan Barbara stepped up and laced a shot into the top left corner of the frame for the goal
- The Blue Hose grabbed a 3-0 lead in the 29th minute on a goal from Sergio Pinto
- Plamen Mangarov threw a ball into the box from sideline as Yacine Tchemmoun won a contested header as it flicked back right to Pinto at the spot and he struck it first time into the left corner
- With just under 10 minutes to play Marc Carreras forced a save by Hoffelner off a free kick just outside the box
- The rebound came back out to Davis Bryan in front just inside the 18 but he couldn't get all of it as his shot was caught by Hoffelner for the save
Notables
