Rock Hill, SC – The Eagles (7-2, 11-10) are on a five-match winning streak after beating Campbell and Hampton last week. This has been the program's best first half of conference since the 2011 team also went 7-2. They are currently ranked second, behind High Point, in Big South Conference standings. They travel to Radford University on Saturday for just one match this week.Â

Last Saturday the Eagles beat Hampton University (25-17, 18-25, 25-18, 25-22) in their first contest of the season. Rosario Lourdes led all hitters with 18 kills, .333 hitting percentage, two aces, and one solo block.
Phoebe Wu posted a double-double with 12 kills and 14 digs.
Siani Yamaguchi also had a double-double with 46 assists and 15 digs while setting her team to a .273 hitting percentage. She finished the week with a conference high, 12.29 assists per set.
Carlie Skelton was third in the Big South with 5.29 digs per set and 37 total digs for the week.
Radford is 6-2 in conference and 14-3 overall. Their losses have come from High Point, earlier this season, and Charleston Southern just last Friday. After their loss Friday they rebounded to beat Presbyterian College in a tight five set match. Middle blocker, Mallory McKnight leads the conference in hitting percentage with .362 and she is fourth in kills at 2.95 per set. On the record books, the Eagles and Highlanders have gone 30-34 for their all-time record.
